Joshua T. Smith, the visionary Founder and CEO of Joshua T. Smith Consulting, also known as Paz—a business development firm rooted in strategy, social impact, and cultural insight. A native of Miami, Florida and a proud first-generation college graduate, Joshua has built a career at the intersection of education, heritage, and community empowerment. His work spans consulting, nonprofit leadership, research, and teaching—each informed by a deep commitment to equity and transformational change.

Joshua holds degrees in Religion from Wiley University, Theological Studies from Southern Methodist University,  and Heritage Studies from Arkansas State University, reflecting his multidisciplinary approach to leadership and cultural preservation. He has served as a Professor of Religion and History at several colleges such as LeMoyne Owen College, T. D Jake Divinity School and other.

Through Paz, Joshua guides organizations in strategic planning, organizational development, and community-centered initiatives. He also leads the Urban Research Lab and the Paz Foundation, which support Black heritage, youth leadership, and systemic equity. A member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Joshua is a trusted voice and thought partner for institutions seeking meaningful impact, rooted in justice, legacy, and innovation.​
